Free · Voice and everyday
Every feature replaces something you'd otherwise hunt for in a menu, a shortcut, or another app. You just say it.
Say "Hey Beckon," press ⌘⌥J, or click the floating circle. It's ready whenever you are, from any app, and your voice is never saved.
Beckon learns the people, places, and projects you talk about, so it spells them right the first time.
Ask for three things in one breath and they all get done. It checks with you before anything you can't undo.
A tidy screen, just by saying so: "move this to the left half," "spread my windows," "put them back."
One word opens everything for a project: apps, sites, and folders. Say "close design" when you're done.
Say "email Sarah that the demo moved to 3pm" and the draft is waiting in Gmail. Add notes, reminders, and events without typing. Nothing sends without you.
Get the gist of any page without reading it: "summarize this page," "does this mention batteries?"
Find "the PDF from yesterday" or "what I copied earlier" in seconds, then drag it wherever you need it.
⌘-right-click anything on screen for a quick explanation, or to rewrite the text you've selected.

When a session wants to run something or asks you a question, the notch shows it wherever you are. Allow it, deny it with a note, or pick an answer. The terminal never waits on Beckon: whoever answers first wins.
A dot beside the notch for each session. Click one to jump straight to its terminal, in Terminal, iTerm or VS Code.
Stepped away? Beckon says "site-redesign needs you" out loud.
Claude Code and Codex limits, read from their own logs on your Mac. Codex reports exact numbers; Claude's are an estimate.
GitHub checks and the reviews waiting on you, and every Vercel project you care about, personal and work. Read-only. Tokens stay in your Mac's Keychain.
Free, like the rest of the notch. Works with Claude Code in the terminal, the desktop app and VS Code.
Pro
Pro · Research
Flights, hotels, jobs, gadgets: ask for it and get a clear recommendation with prices, times, and links you can act on. Other research tools keep you waiting two to five minutes. Beckon is done before you'd have opened a second tab.
Pro · Cheapest flights
Ask for flights and get the lowest fare, not just the first decent one. Beckon finds prices the big booking sites miss, so the savings stay in your pocket.
Try: “Find the cheapest flights to Lisbon in June.”
Chicago → Lisbon
Round trip · June
Out on United, back on TAP Air Portugal
Airlines often charge less on their own websites than the big booking sites show. You get whichever is cheaper.
Fly out on one airline and home on another when that costs less than a round trip. It's where the biggest savings usually hide.
Say New York and you get the best price across JFK, Newark and LaGuardia. The cheaper airport is often one you didn't think of.
Some sites nudge the price up when you search the same trip again. With Beckon, check as often as you like.
Mixing airlines means two separate tickets. If your first flight runs late and you miss the second, the second airline doesn't have to rebook you. When the cheapest option works this way, Beckon says so, so you can decide whether the savings are worth it.
Pro · Ask about this
Stuck on a formula, a chart, or a paragraph in another language? Draw a box around it and get a plain-English answer right beside it. No copying, no pasting, no new tab.
⌃⌥⌘A or just say “What does this mean?”
Your answer starts appearing the moment you let go of the box, so you stay in the flow of what you're reading.
Circle a chart and the answer accounts for the caption underneath. Circle one line of a long proof and it knows which lecture it came from. You get answers that fit what you're studying, not guesses.
Ask follow-ups until it clicks. Every question is kept on your Mac for 30 days, so you can reopen it before the test and pick up where you left off. Passwords and private pages are never saved.
One box, whatever you're learning
Draw a box around anything, or click once to pick what's under your cursor.
Draw the box in one motion. Let go to ask.
Ask out loud and hear the answer read back to you.
Pick any key or mouse button that suits you.
Pro · Watches
Tell Beckon what to keep an eye on: a fare, a price, a job posting, a page. It checks every day, and when something changes, the notch shows you what changed. One click opens it.
Privacy
Here's exactly what Beckon hears, what it keeps, and what leaves your Mac. The whole picture, in plain words.
Listening for "Hey Beckon," understanding your voice, and Beckon's own voice all happen on your Mac. Meeting audio is turned into text right there and then deleted. Only the text is kept, and only on your Mac.
Research, answers, drafts, meeting summaries, and questions about the area you box on screen go online, and send only what each request needs. Research can look, but it can never log in, buy, submit, or send.
Your activity history stays on your Mac for 30 days. Banking and health sites are never recorded. Block any site you like, or say "forget the last hour" to erase it.
Every permission is asked with a plain-language reason. Recording anything — a meeting, a note, a command — always requires an explicit action from you.
Accessibility
Everything Beckon does works by voice, so you can use your whole Mac without a keyboard or trackpad. For anyone with limited mobility, chronic pain, or an injury, that's a real everyday tool. Nothing to memorize. Just speak.
Every feature works without touching the keyboard or trackpad — launch apps, browse the web, write notes, take meetings, run research errands.
Keep working while you heal. Rest your wrists between tasks. Beckon lets you get things done on the days you can't type comfortably.
Beckon works alongside the accessibility features already built into macOS. Use them together for a fully hands-free Mac.
If Beckon would help you or someone you know and cost is a barrier, please get in touch — we offer free licenses on request.
